The white stork (ciconia ciconia) is a common migrant bird.

Description

Its plumage is white, but remiges are black. Feet and bill are orange or red, and the bill is long and pointed. It is 110 cm long and has a wingspan of 220 cm, making it a very big species.

Behavior

The stork eats frogs, fish, refuse, small rodents and insects. It is a common nesting species in Central Europe and flies to Africa in winter. Its nest is very big and is built on a tree or on a chimney top using twigs.
