The toco toucan (ramphastos toco) is the biggest toucan of the world.

Description Edit

It measures about 63 cm in lenght. The plumage is black, but throat and breast are white. The bill is very long and big, but it isn't heavy at all. Its colour is orange with black tip and base. Feet are blue and eyes are black with a blue ring of skin around them. The undertail is red. The toco toucan also has a orange "mask".

Habits Edit

This bird is a very good flier and lives in South American rain forests. It has a very playful behaviour and sharp intelligence. It feeds on fruit, seeds and eggs stolen from other birds' nests.
