The Northern Bobwhite (Colinus Virginianus) is a small, dove sized quail in eastern North America. It is a poached game bird. It is around 10 to 13 inches. It lives in many rural areas, such as southern Pennsylvania. It is small brown bird with barred white and brown belly (breast). It's wings are a deep blue-gray, like an American Robin's. The males have black & white mask, while females have black& yellow. They are rare in development unless cracked corn seed is being offered. They are the state gamebird of VA, GA, TN, AL, and MS.
