Coal tit hanging-8103

A coal tit hangs from a branch.

The Coal Tit, or Parus ater, is a member of the tit family. Coal tits are found in Europe and Africa, but not the northern Scandinavia. They take food from bird tables and then store it for later use.

The coal tit has black and white markings on the head, whitey-brownish underparts, and green-gray wings.
